Contract Flooring is a well-established firm of flooring specialists with over 60 years of combined experience. With a wealth of knowledge and experience in all aspects of contract flooring, we can supply, fit and maintain a full range such as Altro flooring and wall cladding Amtico, Karndean, Polyflor, Gradus, White Rock, linoleum, vinyl, carpet tiles, natural carpets, safety flooring, solid and engineered wood floors and polished concrete and many more.
We also specialise in the renovation, sanding and sealing of wood floors. We can provide a complete flooring removal service and sub floor preparation, incorporating shot blasting, grinding and DPM.
Over the years, we have maintained Contract Flooring as an independent firm of professional contract flooring experts and skilled fitters; all with an emphasis on attention to detail. We strive to offer personal customer service and after care, whilst maintaining a competitive price.
Health & Safety
Here at Contract Flooring, we are committed to ensuring the health, safety and welfare of our employees, visitors and members of the public. We are accredited to the industry respected CHAS assessment scheme, and are compliant with all key aspects of health and safety law. We are continually striving to improve our safety practices. All out fitters have the appropriate CSCS cards indicating their own health and safety awareness and have passed their NVQ Level 2 qualification in their skill.
Environmental
Contract Flooring work very closely with all partners to act appropriately with regards to environmental awareness. Our simple code of practice is designed to work in harmony with mother nature, complementing natural products, and materials always with an appreciation of the environment. Our philosophy and mind-set is determined to promote and educate manufacturers and consumers alike on environmental issues, and we work to a strict code of practice when sourcing materials, which all parties we work with support.
All the manufacturers we work with comply with various certified third party environmental agencies, which include the PEFC Council (Programme for the Endorsement of Forest Certification schemes) which is an independent, non-profit, non-governmental organisation, founded in 1999, which promotes sustainable managed forests through independent third-party certification. The PEFC provides an assurance mechanism to purchasers of wood and paper products that they are promoting the sustainable management of forests. Deliveries are calculated by weight and delivery location.
We work very closely with all delivery partners to maintain competitive delivery costs always. However, this partnership is built on more than just price. We must consider reliability, care, insurance, service level, practicality and lastly environmental impact. To assist with all the above we encourage our customers to accept deliveries in certain areas on certain days. With this very simple and cost-effective policy we have helped to reduce our carbon footprint considerably.
We have considered ways of improving in-house wastage and simple cost-effective procedures like recycling our paper have a big impact. We have reduced printing requirements by 90% by simply emailing invoices instead of printing and posting them. We also encourage others to follow suit with our email disclaimer which requests our email not to be printed unless entirely necessary.
Staff encourage manufacturers and consumers alike to share our policies wherever possible with simple but effective use of email technology by requesting that all invoices, statements and communication is to be done by email. We also encourage all payments to be made electronically.
All the lighting in our offices and workshops are LED to increase energy efficiency and help reduce our carbon footprint. We all have a responsibility to look after our environment.
